Use Google Translate to help you translate WordPress.org themes and plugins.
Since editing is typically faster than creating something from scratch, using Google Translate can speed up your translations. Download the extension from GitHub.
Please pay extra attention to the following:
- The extension does not follow locale’s glossaries nor has any idea of context. Manual review is ALWAYS required.
- Before using the extension, you must create an API key in Google Console and paste it into the extension options.
- Instructions for installing the extension are in the repository. It is not available in the Chrome Web Store.
After working on some plugin translations with my wife, we realized that typing everything every time was taking too much time. We tried using some third-party software and importing the translations later, but the process was more troublesome. To solve that problem, I created this browser extension.
As I don’t think there is anything like it available yet, I decided to make the extension public. I hope it will help more people translate WordPress, its themes, and plugins into more languages.
